International Student Scholarship (for qualifed students pursuing undergraduate degrees)
Freshman: 1. The scholarship is provided as the tuition fee waiver for qualified students. 2. The students need to pay the incidental fees. Continuing student: 1. For the second year and beyond, the scholarship will be granted continually based on the student’s academic performance of the previous semester. 2. The scholarship will be remitted to the student’s bank account in April and November of each year. 3. The standard of academic performance is listed below. If the student’s academic ranking is in the top 10% of the class being attended, a full tuition fee wavier will be granted (Note that the students need to pay the incidental fees). If the student’s academic ranking is between the top 10% to top 25% of the class being attended, 50% of the combination of the tuition and incidental fees will be waived; however, only 75% of fees being waived will be remitted directly to the student’s bank account. The other 25% of the fees being waived will be granted to the students by having them worked as part-time assistants at CYCU. For this sort of part-time work done, the students will be compensated at NT$ 100/hour. If the student’s academic ranking is between the top 25% to top 50% of the class being attended, one third of the combination of the tuition and incidental fees will be waived; however, only 75% of fees being waived will be remitted directly to the student’s bank account. The other 25% of the fees being waived will be granted to the students by having them worked as part-time assistants at CYCU. For this sort of part-time work done, the students will be compensated at NT$ 100/hour. If the student’s academic ranking has been upgraded continually for two semesters, a scholarship of NT$ 6,000 will be granted; however, the total number of students being granted with such scholarship will be limited to 20 per semester.
