The “TISDC Taiwan International Student Design Competition,” organized by the Ministry of Education, is now in its 16th year and is a prestigious international competition in the design field. With the theme of “Compassion,” this year’s competition is divided into three categories: “Product Design,” “Visual Design,” and “Digital Animation.” A total of 11,367 entries from 56 countries and regions and 1,161 schools participated, with a winning rate of only 0.46%, indicating intense competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team utilized 2D hand-drawn techniques with warm tones and emotionally rich visuals to create an inspiring animation. The video revolves around the interaction between a young boy and an egg, cleverly conveying the idea that the egg, cradled in the hands, represents the potential for facing external challenges, trials, and hurts at any moment. This animation, with its profound emotional expression and unique visual style, has garnered unanimous praise from both the audience and the judges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the award ceremony, students Xu Weilin and Yang Shuan shared that the animation focuses on the relationship between the egg and the boy, incorporating a dual-screen and dual-perspective design. This allows viewers to simultaneously understand the feelings of both harm and being harmed from two different perspectives. The intention is to accompany those going through setbacks and trauma, offering them the healing and warmth conveyed by the animation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
