In alignment with the government’s “National Information and Communication Security Development Plan” and to address the societal need for maintaining public safety, Chung Yuan Christian University’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering is in the process of establishing an “In-Service Master’s Program in Information Security and Technology Crime Investigation.” This program has received official approval from the Ministry of Education and is scheduled to be formally launched in the 113th academic year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chung Yuan Christian University’s Information Security Master’s Program will bring together faculty expertise from various related fields within the university, including information and communication security, artificial intelligence, big data analysis, and the Internet of Things. This collaborative effort aims to cultivate future professionals in the field of information security and technology crime investigation, with the ability to think across domains, ultimately enhancing the nation’s information and communication security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chung Yuan Christian University emphasizes that with the rapid advancement of the internet and information technology, technology-related crimes exhibit characteristics such as stealth, diversity, and indirectness, which have increased the difficulty of investigation and evidence collection. When coupled with cybersecurity intrusion techniques, these crimes pose a significant security concern. Therefore, the development of cybersecurity technology and the cultivation of cybersecurity talent have become focal points in the policies of governments worldwide. The Ministry of Education also acknowledges Chung Yuan Christian University’s commitment to establishing the Information Security Master’s Program, as it aligns with the nation’s key technological development direction, supports the promotion of the “5+2 industries” initiative, and contributes to economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
