As the largest innovation competition platform in Taiwan, it focused on &#8220;industry needs,&#8221; attracting 13 enterprises and government bodies to pose challenges. A total of 1,623 teams and 8,289 participants from 131 schools joined, making it a key global arena for digital talents. This year, over 170 experts from various sectors served as judges, setting a new standard for scale and quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chung Yuan Christian University excelled by winning two first-place awards and the Best Popularity Award. A team led by Professors Li Guocheng and Chen Shilun won first place in the &#8220;Industry-Academia Cooperation Group 1&#8221; with their &#8220;Apical Image Analysis and Detection System,&#8221; achieving a seven-time winning streak. Another project, &#8220;MIRRORCLE \u2013 Your Magic Mirror,&#8221; guided by Professor Liu Shihao, claimed first place in the &#8220;Labor Empowerment Training Group,&#8221; helping users practice interviews and presentations to boost workplace confidence. Additionally, the &#8220;Broken Mirror Pet Park \u2013 Extending Love&#8221; project, led by Professor Zhou Xianming, won the Best Popularity Award. This project used 5G, AI, and blockchain to create an intelligent pet adoption platform, enhancing adoption efficiency and trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aiming to address the increase in global oral diseases, especially in resource-limited countries as highlighted in the 2023 WHO report, a team comprising Chung Yuan and NCKU members developed an &#8220;Apical Lesion and Periodontal Loss Image Analysis System.&#8221; This system, integrating YOLOv8 image segmentation and various CNN models, achieved over 90% detection accuracy, aiding medical staff in early diagnosis with a user-friendly interface. A team comprising Lu Xinying, Gao Yuchun, Wang Tingyu, Lin Zhiyu, Ye Zhiwei, and Liu Yurou developed the &#8220;MIRRORCLE \u2013 Your Magic Mirror&#8221; system. The platform integrates 5G, AI, and blockchain technology, using image recognition to help pet owners find lost animals and intelligent matching to recommend suitable pets to adopters. Blockchain ensures transparent, tamper-proof information, enhancing trust. Additionally, the platform incorporates smart city data to mark pet-friendly locations and offer real-time notifications, quickly mobilizing community resources to aid in finding missing pets.
