Co-organized by the Indigenous Youth Club and the Indigenous Special Program of the College of Design, the event attracted nearly 200 faculty and students, creating a lively atmosphere. The three-day event featured a variety of activities, showcasing CYCU&#8217;s commitment to cultural diversity and ethnic identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The opening ceremony on November 13 was themed &#8220;Traditional Attire Day,&#8221; symbolizing the heritage and pride of different ethnic groups and cultures. Indigenous students at Chung Yuan Christian University donned their traditional attire, showcasing their cultural pride. The event commenced with a performance by members of the Indigenous Youth Club, who sang and danced to modern music, creating an atmosphere full of youthful energy and vibrancy. This provided faculty and students with an engaging visual and auditory experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1566\" height=\"1044\" src=\"https:\/\/eng.cycu.edu.tw\/wp-content\/uploads\/\u65cf\u670d\u65e5\u5408\u7167.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-32841\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eng.cycu.edu.tw\/wp-content\/uploads\/\u65cf\u670d\u65e5\u5408\u7167.jpg 1566w, https:\/\/eng.cycu.edu.tw\/wp-content\/uploads\/\u65cf\u670d\u65e5\u5408\u7167-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/eng.cycu.edu.tw\/wp-content\/uploads\/\u65cf\u670d\u65e5\u5408\u7167-1536x1024.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1566px) 100vw, 1566px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Director of the Indigenous Student Resource Center at the Office of Student Affairs, Zhang Yun-Hui, stated: &#8220;The opening event of Indigenous Culture Week aims for indigenous students to wear traditional attire, symbolizing cultural heritage. It is hoped that through this, faculty and students from different backgrounds can gain a deeper understanding and respect for indigenous cultures.&#8221; She emphasized that the food market and traditional crafts demonstrations in the culture week series are more than just commercial activities\u2014they are cultural education.
