The event highlighted the distinctive strengths of CYCU\u2019s colleges and showcased its comprehensive academic pathways, enabling international students to advance from language learning to professional studies and build a solid foundation for further development in Taiwan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Director Teh-Fen Ou of the Chinese Language Teaching Center noted that the event aimed to guide Mandarin learners in exploring academic opportunities at CYCU and to encourage them to continue their studies in Taiwan. With strengthened language skills and exposure to resources and visits arranged by the Center, students gain diverse academic counseling channels, professional insights from faculty, and peer experiences\u2014helping them adapt more quickly, build confidence, and prepare for future challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first stop of the tour was the College of Business, introduced by Director Te-Kuan Lee of the Office of Globalization. He emphasized that CYCU\u2019s College of Business has earned AACSB international accreditation, ensuring high-quality teaching and strong global competitiveness. These initiatives provide comprehensive guidance and support for students with different goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Associate Professor Hao Fang, Director of the International Undergraduate Program in Business and Management (IUBM), highlighted the program\u2019s holistic education approach in cultivating global talents with character, teamwork, and innovation. The curriculum covers four key areas\u2014business management, international business and trade, finance and accounting, and information management. She encouraged Mandarin learners to be brave in trying new experiences and to actively integrate into campus life, resonating especially with Vietnamese students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second stop was the College of Engineering, introduced by Dr. Shu-Hao Chang, Director of the Industry Talent Development Center and Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering. After working seven years at ASE Group in Zhongli and later starting her own business back home, she returned to Taiwan this year to study at CYCU\u2019s Chinese Language Teaching Center with the goal of pursuing a university degree. Her exchange with Dr. Shu-Hao Chang deepened her understanding of Taiwan\u2019s global competitiveness in the hardware and software industries and its career prospects.
