During the second-stage admission interviews for the 2026 academic year, the Department of Electrical Engineering at Chung Yuan Christian University transformed the interview process into an immersive \u201cOne-Day Electrical Engineering Experience.\u201d Over two days, more than 300 prospective students and parents participated, gaining firsthand insight into the University\u2019s emphasis on hands-on learning, interdisciplinary integration, and holistic education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event began with an introduction by Professor Lai Yu-Kun, Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering, who presented the department\u2019s development, faculty strengths, research focus, and student achievements. The curriculum at Chung Yuan Christian University covers key areas including control systems, network communications, power and energy, artificial intelligence, and semiconductor IC design. Participants were also given electronic components as gifts, allowing them to experience the excitement and sense of achievement that come from hands-on engineering practice. Parents actively engaged in discussions on internships, graduate studies, overseas education, and career development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amid the rapid rise of generative AI, the department emphasized that future engineers must go beyond coding skills to develop engineering judgment, problem-definition abilities, interdisciplinary integration, and humanistic literacy.
