Excellent Academic Performance Award
For me, CYCU is a light which is leading me to achieve my dream; I got many chances to learn different things and strengthen my own ability. CYCU broaden my international view through many programs, for example, I am able to attend a volunteer program as zoo assistant in Thailand in a summer break, I experienced different lifestyle and it gave me an unforgettable memory. Besides, the faculties in this school take much care for us. They always try their best to help the overseas students adapted to the new environment and solve living problem. These actions let us won’t felt alone in this country.
Furthermore, I also enjoy the time that be with classmates, no matter the time that we study for exam or writing a report until midnight together, or we practice for our class performance, it makes me feel we are working together.
There are many events hold for international students. Through these events, I know more people from different countries and it is interesting for me. I also learn many Taiwan cultures which enriched my study life and made it more wonderful.

After pursuing the Master’s degree, I always had an urge to explore more in the field of chemistry. At the same time, one of my friends’ professor suggested me about the advanced PhD program offerings in Taiwan. This led me to explore the study opportunities in Taiwan and I accepted the admission offer from Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) along with DIGS fellowship.
I didn’t know Taiwan’s culture and I didn’t have any friends or relatives in Taiwan. For the first time I went to a foreign country alone and I was very much nervous about my living here. The initial days were not easy due to the change in climatic conditions and food, etc. However, my lab mates and other international mates were very helpful.
Besides my research work, I also worked in industrial projects such as Mitsubishi chemicals (Japan) project. I also went to University of South Africa (UNISA) for a collaborated project work. During this time, I also attended various national and international conferences and presented my research work.
Soon after PhD program, I got an opportunity to work as a postdoctoral researcher in the same department. I served as a research advisor for Climb Co. Inc. (USA based china company). In addition, I have been a member of technical program committee and reviewer for the World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology (WASET). In 2018, I accepted the Senior Researcher position at BenQ Materials Corporation, Taoyuan. I have worked in different projects such as Quantum LED, super hydrophobic materials coating and bio-medical application materials, some of them have completed successfully. I have published more than 20 peer-reviewed research publications in the field of nanomaterials and polymer nanocomposites synthesis and have also written four book chapters in polymer composites and nanotechnology. I am currently reviewer for ACS, Springer and Wiley journals.
