The College of Design at Chung Yuan Christian University has signed an MOU with the Faculty of Architecture at Chiang Mai University, Thailand, to strengthen international collaboration in landscape, architecture, and cultural environment studies. The partnership also expands opportunities for cross-border learning and sustainable design education in Southeast Asia.

CYCU has achieved outstanding results in AI-integrated teaching and talent development through its collaboration with NVIDIA. According to NVIDIA’s official data, CYCU has the highest number of certified “Campus Ambassadors” in Taiwan, with seven faculty members receiving the certification.

CYCU College of Humanities and Education hosted an Overseas Internship Information Session on May 12, 2026, introducing internship opportunities in Japan to help students connect with global workplaces. Through overseas internships and cross-cultural learning experiences, the program aims to strengthen students’ international career readiness, communication skills, and global mobility in the AI-driven era.

CYCU and Zhen Ding Technology Group launched a “Green AI-PCB Co-Creation Lab” with NT$10 million in donated equipment, integrating industry R&D into education. The partnership aims to advance green materials, AI data transmission, and future quantum technologies while strengthening Taiwan’s PCB competitiveness.

The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, a leading U.S. language education organization, recently visited Chung Yuan Christian University, arranged by the Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan. The delegation reviewed CYCU’s advances in curriculum design, AI-enhanced teaching, and instructional innovation, and praised its integration of technology and humanities—opening new avenues for Taiwan–U.S. collaboration.

CYCU and Northern Arizona University (NAU) have signed an MOU to strengthen collaboration in semiconductor research, student exchange, and industry internships. As Arizona emerges as a key hub for semiconductor manufacturing, the partnership aims to cultivate globally competitive talent connecting Taiwan and the United States.

Dr. Peng Choong Leng, a distinguished alumnus of Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU), achieved a historic milestone by receiving both the Business Achievement Award and the Entrepreneurial Achievement Award from Beta Gamma Sigma on April 14, 2026, in Seattle. He is the first person in over a century of BGS history—and the first in Taiwan—to earn both honors, underscoring his exceptional leadership and CYCU’s strength in cultivating world-class talent.

The College of Business at Chung Yuan Christian University held the 10th Induction Ceremony of the Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) CYCU Chapter on April 1, 2026. Presided over by Dean Min-Lei Chang, the ceremony included the oath-taking and certificate presentation for new members. A total of four faculty members and forty outstanding students were honored, highlighting the College’s position among the top 6% of business schools worldwide.

The Department of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language at Chung Yuan Christian University visited South Korea, signing MOUs with Jeonbuk National University and expanding partnerships with Seoul National University and Yonsei University. The visit included student exchanges, course observations, and academic activities, strengthening international collaboration and enhancing CYCU’s global competitiveness in Chinese language education.

Assistant Professor Chang Yan-Jui from Chung Yuan Christian University presented his quantum generative model research at NVIDIA GTC 2026, with the work published in Quantum Machine Intelligence. Using NVIDIA’s CUDA-Q, the proposed method achieved over 10× faster performance than traditional QGANs while maintaining high accuracy, demonstrating strong potential for real-world quantum AI applications.

CYCU signed an MOU with Thailand’s College of Asian Scholars (CAS) to promote academic exchange, joint research, and industry collaboration, aiming to develop globally competitive digital management talent.

CYCU hosted a seven-day “2026 Laboratory Internship Exchange Program” from March 22 to 28, welcoming 14 faculty members and students from Tokyo Denki University, Japan. Building on a prior student exchange in January, the program combined reciprocal visits with hands-on laboratory training to further enhance bilateral academic collaboration and showcase CYCU’s commitment to international engineering education and global talent development.
