Dr. Li Cheng-Yu, an assistant professor from the Department of Chemistry, represented the university with his project on "Expanding Biochemical Sensing Technology" in the Singularity University's "Executive Program for Leaders" selection process. The new Chairman of the National Development Council is Liu Jingqing, the former Deputy Executive Director of PricewaterhouseCoopers Taiwan and its affiliated businesses. Liu, an alumnus of Chung Yuan Christian University’s Department of Mathematics, also holds a master’s degree in business administration from National Taiwan University, bringing extensive experience in industry practice and professional consulting. On the morning of May 7th, the university invited Yu Ding-Lu, Group Vice President and President of Applied Materials Taiwan, to deliver a speech, attracting hundreds of students to attend. To strengthen scientific research and environmental protection, the National Institute of Environmental Research under the Ministry of Environment signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Chung Yuan Christian University on May 6, 2024. In response to global AI technology development trends and the demand for talent cultivation, Chung Yuan Christian University and NVIDIA signed a memorandum of understanding in March this year, announcing the establishment of the NVIDIA-Chung Yuan Christian University AI Application Development Joint Service Center. On April 12, the center held its first major event, the "Large Language Model Workshop" (LLM), marking an important milestone in the cultivation of AI talent in Taiwan.
The Thin Film Technology R&D Center of Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) and the Polymer and Biomaterial Research Center of the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) in Japan have signed a cooperation agreement. This is the first time NIMS has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with an overseas university research center, which is of great significance for promoting international industry-academia collaboration between Japan and Taiwan, driving technological innovation, and strengthening talent cultivation.
Chung Yuan Christian University has a long-term partnership with the Khmer Akphiwat Khmer Organization (KAKO) in Cambodia.
