Research from Chung Yuan Christian University’s Quantum Information Center has been published in npj Unconventional Computing, a journal under the Nature Portfolio, marking a significant milestone in quantum finance. Led by Assistant Professor Yen-Jui Chang, the international team developed an innovative “Smart 1/N” portfolio optimization strategy that integrates quantum-inspired algorithms with financial modeling to enhance risk diversification, return performance, and trading efficiency.
Conducted in collaboration with Imperial College London and supported by NVIDIA’s high-performance computing resources, the study highlights the growing potential of quantum-inspired computing in FinTech and big data–driven investment decision-making, demonstrating CYCU’s expanding global research impact.
