To promote international education and cultural exchange, the International Student Services Division of Chung Yuan Christian University invited 12 international students from different countries to visit Zhongyuan Elementary School and its affiliated kindergarten this semester. Through cultural presentations and hometown stories, more than 150 children explored diverse traditions and lifestyles from around the world, broadening their global perspectives through interactive learning.

CYCU and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company are working together to develop industry-ready semiconductor talent. On June 10, CYCU’s College of Semiconductor Technology, Chung Yuan Christian University hosted a program information session, attracting nearly 100 students to learn about the Semiconductor and Smart Manufacturing Programs and future career opportunities in the semiconductor industry.

Through its long-running Taoyuan Studies program, Chung Yuan Christian University encourages students to engage directly with local communities and social issues. The exhibition “Discovering Taoyuan Through the Five Senses” showcased student fieldwork across Taoyuan, highlighting topics ranging from Aerotropolis development and traffic congestion to environmental and multicultural issues. The exhibition reflected CYCU’s commitment to place-based education and meaningful community engagement.

Students from Chung Yuan Christian University’s College of Design earned multiple honors at the 2026 Golden Pin Design Award for Young Designers, one of Taiwan’s most prestigious design competitions. Among the award-winning projects were *The Caspian Art Museum*, recognized with the Special Award in Packaging Design, *Blind Spot*, honored in the Social Design category, and *Within the Herbal Cycles*, which received the Mu Shui Interior Design Special Award. The achievements highlight CYCU’s strength in interdisciplinary design education, cultural innovation, and socially engaged design practice.

CYCU’s Center for High-Value Industry Promotion (HVIP) has signed an MOU with Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) to promote collaboration in low-carbon circular technologies, digital carbon solutions, and sustainable industrial innovation. The partnership establishes a joint Taiwan–Indonesia demonstration program from 2026 to 2028, strengthening international cooperation in sustainability and green technology development.

The College of Design at Chung Yuan Christian University recently hosted its third Faculty Basketball Tournament and the inaugural Dean’s Cup 3-on-3 Basketball Championship. Bringing together faculty members and students from different departments, the events promoted teamwork, sportsmanship, and cross-disciplinary interaction. Through friendly competition and shared enthusiasm for sports, participants strengthened campus connections and showcased the vibrant and collaborative spirit of the College of Design.

As AI and quantum technologies transform the future, CYCU encouraged its 3,531 graduates to embrace innovation while upholding compassion, resilience, and social responsibility—core values of the University’s holistic education philosophy.

CYCU has received the Industry–Academia Collaboration Excellence Award for the ninth time, the highest among Taiwan’s private universities. Through strong partnerships with global enterprises and its “Mini Silicon Valley” initiative, CYCU continues to foster innovation and develop industry-ready talent.

Students from Chung Yuan Christian University’s College of Design won both the Gold and Silver Awards at the 2026 University Exhibition Facility Design Competition. Competing against 169 entries from 20 universities nationwide, the award-winning teams demonstrated outstanding creativity and design innovation, showcasing CYCU’s strengths in interdisciplinary learning and practical design education.

The Indigenous Design Bachelor’s Program at Chung Yuan Christian University showcased its annual exhibition, Future Design: A Symphony of Innovation and Heritage, featuring student projects from 20 courses. The exhibition highlights the integration of Indigenous culture, creative design, and hands-on learning, reflecting CYCU’s commitment to cultivating Indigenous design talent and promoting cultural sustainability.

CYCU and the Taiwan Cultural Heritage Society co-hosted an international seminar on cultural heritage and urban governance, bringing together experts from Taiwan and abroad to discuss heritage conservation, cultural governance, and sustainable urban development. The event featured Professor Michael Kloos, holder of the UNESCO Chair on Historic Urban Landscape and Heritage Assessment, who shared international perspectives on balancing urban growth with the preservation of cultural heritage and local identity.

CYCU students achieved outstanding results at the 100K Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, earning second place, third place, and honorable mentions among nearly 80 teams from 19 universities across Taiwan. The competition highlighted innovative solutions in smart technology, industrial innovation, and social impact, showcasing students’ creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to address real-world challenges.
