On August 18, 2025, Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) and the New Taipei City Education Bureau announced the launch of the Quantum Application Hub. The initiative introduces interdisciplinary hands-on courses by leveraging CYCU’s advanced Quantum Lab, Semiconductor Testing Lab, and Holographic Projection Classroom. It aims to guide high school and vocational students to explore quantum applications, embrace cross-disciplinary learning, and envision future career paths.

Chung Yuan Christian University has reached full undergraduate enrollment for the third consecutive year, defying the national decline in student numbers. Centered on holistic education, CYCU’s “AI University” initiative integrates technology, humanities, and social values to cultivate future-ready talent and lead higher education transformation.

From August 5–7, 2025, the Department of Applied Chinese Language and Literature at Chung Yuan Christian University partnered with Neili Senior High School for the three-day program “Learning Languages, Walking the World.” Over 250 students joined to explore academic and career paths starting from Chinese, receiving enthusiastic feedback.

In Taoyuan, Taiwan, Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) has collaborated with Intel and ASUS to host a summer program that merges international learning with applied artificial intelligence experience. The 2025 International Summer Camp on Practical Project Design officially opened on August 1 at CYCU’s Yin-Yeh Lecture Hall, drawing more than 130 faculty members and students from Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, and Turkey. This marks the first time the program has collaborated with Intel Taiwan and ASUS, introducing a dedicated AI project competition as a central feature.

Chung Yuan Christian University’s College of Engineering successfully hosted the 18th annual II/ALE International Academia-Industry Leadership Experience, an all-English summer camp uniting students from San Jose State University, Texas A&M University, and CYCU. The three-week program combined hands-on engineering projects, high-tech seminars, and cultural immersion, promoting cross-cultural teamwork and global perspectives in engineering education. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, industrial visits, and exposure to Taiwan’s rich cultural heritage, students strengthened their technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and intercultural understanding, embodying CYCU’s mission of holistic, globally oriented education.

CYCU officially launched its Northwest U.S. Alumni Association on July 26, 2025, in Seattle, marking its ninth alumni chapter in the United States. The new association strengthens connections among CYCU graduates across six states, promoting regional collaboration and global alumni engagement. The founding event gathered over 50 alumni and featured guest speakers, cultural visits, and a networking banquet—highlighting the strong bonds and shared spirit of CYCU’s extended community..

CYCU co-hosts the 2025 Asia-Pacific Conference of Young Scientists with NTU, welcoming participants from over 10 countries. Held at the College of Intelligent Computing and Quantum Information, the event highlights CYCU’s strength in quantum science and tech innovation, marking 100 years since the birth of quantum theory.

In summer 2025, CYCU’s College of Humanities and Education will launch three practicum programs that apply language and education expertise to real-world settings. Led by departments in foreign languages, Chinese language teaching, and teacher education, the initiatives promote global awareness, local engagement, and experiential learning.

On July 21, 2025, CYCU’s Thin Film Technology Center hosted the "2025 Bionic Zwitterionic Technology Forum: Molecular Design and Bioinert Regulation for Advanced Medical Applications." The forum brought together leading experts, including Academician Shaoyi Jiang from Cornell University’s Department of Biomedical Engineering, as well as scholars from NYCU, National Chung Cheng University, and CYCU. This high-level international platform showcased cutting-edge developments and practical potential of zwitterionic materials in biomedical innovation.

From July 6 to 11, 2025, CYCU’s Pizun USR team co-hosted an international USR workshop with UCSI University in Taiping and Kuala Sepetang, Malaysia. The six-day event featured field studies, community dialogues, and cross-sector collaboration, aiming to build a sustainable USR co-learning network and deepen Taiwan–Malaysia academic and social engagement.

CYCU has launched a dual-track strategy to drive corporate sustainability and green talent development. The university introduced Taiwan’s first ESG assessment framework tailored for SMEs and will offer an interdisciplinary “Green Talent” program. Aligned with the UN 2030 Agenda, CYCU’s user-friendly ESG tool helps businesses start their sustainability journey, while students gain practical experience for green career pathways.

From July 17 to 18, 2025, CYCU’s Thin Film Technology Center hosted the "2025 Advanced Thin Film Technology Forum," uniting top scholars from Taiwan and Japan. The forum focused on precision medicine, biomedical membranes, and green energy, addressing global needs in antifouling membranes, liquid biopsy, and sustainable processes while advancing cross-border research and talent exchange.
