According to the 2024 QS Asia University Rankings released by the UK-based higher education survey institution QS, 39 universities in Taiwan experienced a decline in rankings. However, Chung Yuan Christian University maintained a stable position in the range of 301-350, ranking 16th nationally. Notably, in the citation per paper indicator, it secured the second spot nationally and first among private universities, surpassing many national universities.
The QS Asia University Rankings for 2024 is the largest-scale ranking to date, with a total of 856 universities from 25 countries and regions participating. Among the 46 Taiwanese universities included in the rankings, only two schools saw an improvement, while 39 universities experienced a decline. Chung Yuan Christian University maintained its position in the 301-350 range. Excluding private universities with a medical school background, Chung Yuan Christian University stands as the top-ranked private university in the country.
According to QS statistics, Chung Yuan Christian University’s “Citations per Paper” indicator score has consistently risen over the past three years, reaching 49.3 in the current assessment, ranking second nationally. This indicates that the impact of the university’s faculty publications has surpassed the performance of faculty at national universities. Furthermore, in the “Academic Reputation” indicator, the university has also seen an improvement compared to the previous year, achieving a high score.
