According to the list of “World’s Top 2% Scientists” released by a team from Stanford University in the United States, Chung Yuan University has had 20 professors recognized in the “Lifetime Scientific Impact Rankings” and 12 professors listed in the “2022 Scientific Impact Rankings.” These professors have excelled in various research fields, including artificial intelligence, electronic engineering, operations research, energy, chemical engineering, materials science, nanoscience, and more, demonstrating their outstanding academic contributions.
The Research and Development Office at Chung Yuan University explained that the data for this list is derived from the world’s largest citation abstract database, Scopus, and selects scientists ranking in the top 2% worldwide from over 9 million scientists. The team used six key indicators for scoring, including total citations, h-index, Hm-index (co-author-adjusted), single-authored or first-authored papers, and single, first, or last-author paper citations, reflecting the scholarly impact of researchers.
