Additionally, in the 2024 “World University Rankings” published by Times Higher Education (THE) of the United Kingdom, Chung Yuan University is ranked in the global range of 1001-1200 and 15th nationally. This demonstrates that Chung Yuan University’s international academic reputation continues to improve, surpassing most national universities.
The list, released by the Stanford University team on October 4th, is based on Scopus citation impact data and is divided into two categories: “Academic Career Scientific Impact Rankings (1960-2022)” and “2022 Scientific Impact Rankings.” In the “Academic Career Scientific Impact Rankings (1960-2022),” Chung Yuan University boasts a remarkable presence with over 20 professors listed, while the “2022 Scientific Impact Rankings” features 12 Chung Yuan University professors.
The Research and Development Office notes that the data for this list is sourced from the world’s largest citation abstract database, Scopus. It selects scientists who rank among the top 2% globally from over 9 million scientists, covering five major fields: Applied Sciences, Health Sciences, Natural Sciences, Economics and Social Sciences, and Humanities and Arts. This list includes 22 main disciplines and 174 subfields.
