Chung Yuan Christian University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) in the United States have collaborated to establish a ‘Dual Bachelor’s Degree Program in Electrical and Information Engineering’ to cultivate professionals with international perspectives and independent thinking capabilities. The inaugural cohort of 17 students successfully traveled to the United States this summer to commence their studies. These students will complete their junior and senior years at UWM, expanding their international and academic horizons in advance, which will significantly enhance their future prospects.
The Dual Bachelor’s Degree Program in Electrical and Information Engineering between Chung Yuan Christian University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee-Milwaukee began in the 110th academic year. In the summer of 2023, Program Director Lai Yu-kun and Program Assistant accompanied the first batch of students to the United States on August 24. Upon arrival at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, the College of Engineering and Applied Science at UWM arranged transportation to safely deliver the Chung Yuan students to the campus. Simultaneously, the President of the UWM Taiwanese Student Association and local Taiwanese students enthusiastically welcomed and assisted in campus orientation and document applications the following day, providing the warmest reception and hospitality.
