CYCU recently successfully hosted the National Intercollegiate Games, demonstrating its emphasis on the balanced development of students’ physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. The campus enjoys a vibrant sports culture, with the basketball team being the longest-standing team in its history. On July 4th, under the witness of Qiu Yisheng, the Speaker of the Taoyuan City Council, and others, Jing Fu Xing Precision Technology Co., Ltd. donated NT$4.82 million annually for a period of 6 years, totaling an impressive cash value of NT$28.92 million, to fully support the development of Chung Yuan University’s basketball team. This contribution aligns with Chung Yuan University’s philosophy of “holistic education.”
CYCU has stated that this donation will be effective from July 1st, 2023, to June 30th, 2028, with an annual amount of NT$4.82 million and a total cash value of NT$28.92 million. The donated funds will be used to support various items, including student tuition and fees, accommodation expenses, scholarships, off-campus training expenses, equipment and supplies, group insurance premiums, personnel costs for protection, project coaching fees, academic tutoring fees for the basketball team, and other related expenses regarding Chung Yuan University’s basketball affairs. Additionally, Jing Fu Xing Precision Technology will also donate NIKE products worth NT$1.5 million annually.
