CYCU Signs MOU with National Institute of Environmental Research.

To strengthen scientific research and environmental protection, the National Institute of Environmental Research under the Ministry of Environment signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Chung Yuan Christian University on May 6, 2024. The two parties will pool their professional knowledge, technical capabilities, and research resources to jointly conduct more extensive and in-depth research for environmental protection.

Chung Yuan Christian University is the first university in the country to sign an MOU with the National Institute of Environmental Research. This not only recognizes Chung Yuan’s academic achievements in the fields of climate change and environmental protection, but also demonstrates the university’s responsibility and commitment to sustainable development.

The signing of this memorandum of understanding will leverage Chung Yuan Christian University’s strengths in education and research, allowing it to work together with the National Institute of Environmental Research to address the formidable challenges of environmental issues.

In his remarks, Chung Yuan Christian University President Lee Ying-Ming stated that according to the CNCI (Citation and Innovation Index), the university’s performance in the “Environmental and Ecological Sciences” research field ranks first among all public and private comprehensive universities in Taiwan. Chung Yuan Christian University is honored to be the first educational institution to sign a cooperative memorandum with the National Institute of Environmental Research. This collaboration will provide valuable learning opportunities for Chung Yuan students and researchers, allowing them to participate in actual research projects and lay a solid foundation for their future academic or professional careers.
