CYCU Maintains 100% Enrollment for 5 Years, Expands AI Collaboration with NVIDIA.

According to the Ministry of Education’s 2024 university enrollment statistics, Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) has once again achieved a 100% freshman enrollment rate, marking five consecutive years at this level. With additional ICT expansion quotas, the actual rate reaches 101.23%. Notably, CYCU has never applied for reserved quotas, ensuring a pure and authentic enrollment rate. The university has also ranked first among national public and private comprehensive universities for seven consecutive years and topped private general universities for overall freshman enrollment (97.40%) for three years in a row.

Strengthening AI Competitiveness with Two New Colleges

CYCU is advancing in smart technology and innovative education by establishing the College of Intelligent Computing and Quantum Information and Taiwan’s first College of Semiconductor Industry among private universities. Through cutting-edge curriculum design and industry-academic collaboration, the university nurtures tech talent. Additionally, CYCU has deepened its partnership with global AI leader NVIDIA, leveraging quantum computing for breakthroughs in energy forecasting, further solidifying its leadership in AI education and research.

CYCU Achieves Global Recognition in Invention Competitions

Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) continues to gain international recognition for its academic impact. At the 76th iENA Nuremberg International Trade Fair for Ideas, Inventions & New Products, CYCU secured one gold and two silver medals, showcasing its exceptional research capabilities and the high industrial value of its patented technologies. In the 2024 Taiwan Innotech Expo Invention Competition, CYCU won the Platinum Award for its biomedical innovations, making it the only private university to claim the highest honor for two consecutive years.

CYCU students have also demonstrated outstanding achievements in various competitions. Information Management students won first place in the Industry-Academia Collaboration category of the 2024 College Information Application and Service Innovation Competition, achieving an unprecedented seven-time championship streak. Electrical Engineering students claimed the gold medal in the Net Zero Emissions category at the Taiwan Sustainable Energy Innovation Competition, while Industrial Engineering students, collaborating across universities, won gold at the Ministry of Education’s Climate Change Innovation Competition, highlighting their commitment to environmental innovation and technology.

Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) remains committed to holistic education, integrating it not only into curriculum design and learning spaces but also into comprehensive student support initiatives. This dedication has earned CYCU the Ministry of Education’s Friendly Campus Award for the fourth time, making it the most awarded university in Taiwan.

Each year, CYCU invests NT$2 million in general education activities and hosts over 60 “Feng Ya Song” music concerts, which are widely appreciated by students, faculty, and the local community. Additionally, CYCU has been ranked the top private university in Taiwan in Global Views Monthly’s 2025 Most Preferred University by Employers survey, further affirming the impact of its holistic education approach.
