CYCU’s Hsiao-Wei Hu Wins 2025 AI Award for Innovation in AI and Teaching.

Dr. Hsiao-Wei Hu, Associate Professor at the College of Intelligent Computing and Quantum Information, Chung Yuan Christian University, was honored with the “2025 AI Award: Best Solution – Academic Industrialization” by the Taiwan Association of Artificial Intelligence. The award, presented on May 7 during Secutech 2025 in Taipei, recognizes Dr. Hu’s outstanding achievements in AI advancement and industry applications, as well as her contributions to academic research, industry collaboration, and social impact.

Dr. Hsiao-Wei Hu has long focused on big data analytics, machine learning, and digital transformation strategies, translating academic research into real business value and social impact. She also serves as an AI strategic advisor for several leading companies, helping industries adopt cutting-edge technologies. Renowned for promoting hands-on, practical education, Dr. Hu pioneered the Capstone Project program at CYCU, partnering with global companies such as LinkedIn to give students direct experience solving real-world industry challenges—successfully cultivating cross-disciplinary AI talent with practical skills.

Regarding the award, Dr. Hu stated, “This honor is not only a recognition of my personal commitment to research and teaching, but also a shared achievement of our entire teaching team and collaborative partners. I’m deeply grateful to Chung Yuan Christian University and the College of Intelligent Computing and Quantum Information for their unwavering support, which allows us to innovate in curriculum design and truly align student learning with industry needs.”

She also emphasized the vital role of student engagement: “This award belongs to every student who bravely embraced challenges and actively participated in the learning process. It is your passion that brings innovative teaching to life. Our mission is to guide students to think critically and use AI to solve real-world problems—so that technology can truly make a difference in the world.”
