On July 26, 2025, Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) officially launched the Northwest CYCU Alumni Association (NWCYCUAA) at the Seattle Chinese Culture and Education Center, marking a significant expansion of its global alumni network in the northwestern United States. The new association connects CYCU alumni across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Alaska, reinforcing bonds and collaborative opportunities within the region.
The founding ceremony, attended by over 50 alumni and family members, featured institutional greetings, a visit to the Museum of Flight, and a networking dinner. Distinguished guests included former CYCU President Dr. Wan-Lee Cheng, Board Member Ms. Pei-Shih Chang, CYCU Director of Alumni Relations Ms. Yun-Chu Lin, and representatives from Taiwan’s overseas community in Seattle.
NWCYCUAA becomes CYCU’s ninth alumni chapter in the U.S., following chapters in Southern California, Northern California, Houston, Chicago, Dayton, Washington D.C., New York, and Dallas. This new chapter reflects the strength of CYCU alumni worldwide and their continued commitment to supporting the university’s values of faith, professionalism, and global engagement.
CYCU acknowledges the longstanding support of its alumni, whose contributions have enhanced the university’s academic reputation, industry collaborations, and international presence. The Northwest chapter is a testament to this enduring connection and a shining example of the CYCU spirit extending far beyond the campus.
