Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) has once again achieved a perfect 100% enrollment rate for its undergraduate programs in the 2025 academic year, marking its third consecutive year with no vacancies—despite a nationwide decline in student numbers. This year, CYCU filled all 3,082 approved undergraduate places, including 567 allocated through the national distribution system, outperforming many institutions facing enrollment shortfalls.
Embracing the global AI wave, CYCU made AI foundation courses mandatory for all first-year students as early as 2021 and now offers over 500 cross-disciplinary courses incorporating AI with sustainability, circular economy, and humanities. The university has launched the College of Intelligent Computing & Quantum Information and Taiwan’s first private Semiconductor Industry College, working closely with industry to prepare future tech leaders.
As Taiwan’s first private university to join NVIDIA’s “AI University” program, CYCU has invested heavily in advanced learning spaces, including a Metaverse Smart Classroom and, opening in October 2025, the MetaDisplay immersive teaching facility. Recognized as Taiwan’s top private university in Global Views Monthly’s “2025 Most Preferred by Employers” survey, CYCU continues to excel in nurturing AI talent with strong industry relevance.
President Ying-Ming Lee highlighted CYCU’s 70-year legacy, strong alumni network, and commitment to becoming a “Green AI University,” cultivating globally minded, sustainability-driven, and cross-disciplinary professionals who meet the challenges of the AI era.
