CYCU signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Circular Resources Industry Promotion Association on October 2, 2025, at the Chung To-Cheng Memorial Hall. A total of 75 enterprises in carbon neutrality and circular resources joined the ceremony, marking an unprecedented alliance between industry, government, and academia. The partnership underscores CYCU’s commitment to advancing sustainability and cultivating green-collar talent.
CYCU President Ying-Ming Lee highlighted that the university not only imparts knowledge but also fulfills its social responsibility by leveraging research capacity and its educational mission. Through this collaboration, CYCU aims to create win–win outcomes with enterprises while providing students and researchers with valuable opportunities to participate in real-world projects and strengthen their academic and professional development.
At the ceremony, Dr. Tsung-Yung Liu, President of the National Institute of Environmental Research, commended the initiative as an important step toward national sustainable development. Mr. Tsu-En Chang, Chairman of the Circular Resources Industry Promotion Association, emphasized that the association will continue to connect domestic and international experts and industry partners to foster technological innovation, promote industrial upgrading, and enhance competitiveness, further advancing the circular economy.
The event was organized by CYCU’s “Carbon Neutrality and Circular Resources Research Center” under the Department of Environmental Engineering. Professor Tian-Chin Chang, Director of the Center, noted that the signing of the MOU symbolizes a long-term and close partnership between academia and industry. Future collaborations will focus on climate change, circular economy, carbon neutrality, and resource recycling, along with technical consulting and international exchanges, to open new opportunities for sustainability.
