CYCU Wins AABI “Asia’s Best Incubator Center” Grand Award.

Chung Yuan Christian University’s Industry Accelerator and Incubation Center once again shined on the international stage, winning the “AABI Incubator of the Year Award” on October 15, 2025—representing Taiwan and ultimately claiming the top honor. The achievement highlights CYCU’s outstanding strength in entrepreneurship incubation, regional engagement, and global collaboration.

Following its recognition at the 2025 Triple E Awards in September for global innovation and entrepreneurship, CYCU once again gained worldwide acclaim, underscoring its solid results in AI-driven innovation and international connectivity.

Founded in 2002, the Asian Association of Business Incubation (AABI) is the largest incubation organization in the Asia-Pacific region, with 26 member associations across 19 countries, and serves as the Asian branch of the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA) in the United States. Each year, AABI promotes cross-border entrepreneurial cooperation and knowledge exchange through annual conferences, awards, and academic publications. The 2025 annual conference, themed “Co-Creating an Innovative and Sustainable Future,” was held in Surakarta, Indonesia, from October 14 to 17, bringing together incubator institutions from various countries to share insights on technology transfer, innovation mechanisms, and sustainability strategies.

CYCU’s Industry Accelerator and Incubation Center was nominated by the Chinese Business Incubation Association in May 2025 to represent Taiwan in the AABI competition. Out of representatives from 19 member countries, CYCU stood out and earned the distinguished award—one of only two recipients in the Asia-Pacific region. The honor recognizes CYCU’s remarkable achievements in innovation and entrepreneurship education, technology transfer, and industry-academia collaboration. The award was received on behalf of the university by Ms. Yin-Yin Chang, Manager of CYCU’s Industry Accelerator and Incubation Center.

Since its establishment in 1997, the Industry Accelerator and Incubation Center at Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) has continuously promoted technological applications in smart manufacturing and thin-film materials, actively integrating academic research resources with industrial needs to build a full-chain incubation system—from technology R&D to venture investment. To date, the center has successfully incubated over 250 enterprises, supported nine public listings, and facilitated over NT$4 billion in total investment and funding, establishing itself as one of Taiwan’s most influential innovation and incubation platforms.

In recent years, CYCU has launched thematic acceleration programs focusing on technology translation, cross-disciplinary integration, and value co-creation, while actively engaging in international collaboration networks.

In September 2025, CYCU was invited to participate in the International Small and Medium Enterprises Expo (ISMEE 2025) at the Taoyuan Convention Center, where it joined seven startup teams to showcase AI-driven applications and sustainable solutions. These initiatives highlight CYCU’s dual commitment to advancing entrepreneurship through research excellence and driving sustainable industrial transformation powered by AI innovation.

CYCU stated that winning two consecutive international awards symbolizes global recognition of its long-term achievements in entrepreneurship incubation and innovation education. Moving forward, the university will continue to place technological innovation at its core—strengthening international partnerships, promoting technology implementation, and deepening industry–academia co-creation.

CYCU is committed to realizing its vision of “AI-Driven Future, Sustainable Co-Creation between Academia and Industry,” advancing toward becoming a globally influential model of an innovative university.
