The Industry Accelerator & Incubation Center (IAIC) of Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) hosted the 2025 IAIC Smart Taoyuan Industry–Academia Co-Creation Forum on October 29, 2025, bringing together representatives from industry, government, and academia to celebrate the achievements in smart city development and startup acceleration. The event, aligned with the themes of AI innovation and sustainable growth, underscored CYCU’s strong commitment to advancing regional development and industrial transformation.
Dr. Chang Yung, Dean of the Office of Industry–Academia Operations, noted that the IAIC has been nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship in Taoyuan for 28 years. In 2025, the center earned prestigious international honors, including the ACEEU Triple E Awards “Entrepreneurial University of the Year” and the AABI “Best Incubator Award 2025”, reaffirming CYCU’s leadership in startup incubation and industry–academia collaboration.
The forum featured a keynote speech by Mr. Chou Ping-Hui, CEO of Taiwan Intelligent Cloud Service Co., Ltd., titled “AI Empowering Industrial Digital Transformation.” His talk explored the practical applications and prospects of AI in smart manufacturing, service innovation, and sustainable development, inspiring cross-disciplinary collaboration.
The event concluded with the 2025 IAIC Startup Incubation Awards Ceremony, recognizing outstanding emerging teams for their innovation in AI, green sustainability, and digital transformation. Award recipients included:
Pekor Sustainable Integration, Genius Intelligence, Luji International, Cosmos Manufacturing, PlusMinus Co., and EZ Technology. Their achievements exemplify Taoyuan’s growing startup vitality and CYCU’s success in fostering collaborative innovation.
The IAIC supports over 30 startups and SMEs annually, focusing on smart manufacturing, green technology, and AI applications. Through integrated R&D and entrepreneurial resources, it assists teams with technology transfer, funding, and market expansion, driving CYCU’s innovation ecosystem forward.
Looking ahead, CYCU aims to strengthen global partnerships and interdisciplinary collaboration, building a world-class smart industry hub. Upholding its educational mission of “Faith as the Foundation, Wisdom in Service to Society,” CYCU continues to fuel sustainable innovation for Taoyuan and Taiwan.
