The College of Business at Chung Yuan Christian University held the 10th Induction Ceremony of the Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) CYCU Chapter on April 1, 2026. The ceremony was presided over by Dean Min-Lei Chang, who led the new inductees in reciting the BGS oath and presented them with membership certificates.
In a solemn and dignified atmosphere, the ceremony celebrated the achievements of four faculty members and forty outstanding students, marking a proud and memorable milestone for all inductees.

Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is a global academic honor society recognized by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), dedicated to honoring outstanding students and professionals in business. Only business schools accredited by AACSB, representing approximately the top 6% worldwide, are eligible to establish BGS chapters.
Since its establishment in 2016, the CYCU Chapter has inducted 518 members and has been recognized with the “Highest Honor” distinction by BGS Headquarters for seven consecutive years, reflecting its excellence in international engagement.

A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of a US$1,000 scholarship awarded by Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) Headquarters to recognize outstanding business talent. The recipients were You-Fu Huang (Ph.D. Program in Business), Yu-Chi Lin (Master’s Program, Department of Accounting), and Si-Luo Wu (Bachelor’s Program, Department of Accounting).
In addition to their academic excellence, the awardees distinguished themselves through strong leadership, achievements in international competitions, and active engagement in community service, fully embodying the BGS core values of Honor, Earnestness, and Wisdom.

Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is highly selective. Undergraduate students must rank within the top 10% of their class, while master’s students must be in the top 20% or hold doctoral candidacy status. Faculty members are required to have earned a doctoral degree from an Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)-accredited institution or serve as full-time faculty in a college of business.
An invitation to join BGS not only recognizes outstanding academic achievement but also serves as a gateway to the global stage, adding significant value to future career development.

The Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) CYCU Chapter has distinguished itself among 641 chapters across more than 38 countries, receiving the Global Outstanding Chapter “Silver Award” in both 2024 and 2025, the only recipient in Taiwan, underscoring the leadership of CYChU in global business education.

In addition, alumnus Chun-Neng Fang of the Department of International Business and Ph.D. Program in Business, as well as a BGS member, received both the “Business Achievement Award” and the “Entrepreneurship Achievement Award” from BGS in 2026, becoming the first and only recipient in Taiwan to earn both honors.
The 10th Induction Ceremony concluded in a warm and dignified atmosphere. With the addition of new members, the College of Business will continue to advance international engagement and talent cultivation, striving for even greater achievements in the future.
