CYCU Leads Taiwan in NVIDIA Campus Ambassador Certifications.

CYCU has achieved outstanding results in AI-integrated teaching and talent development through its collaboration with NVIDIA. According to NVIDIA’s official data, CYCU has the highest number of certified “Campus Ambassadors” in Taiwan, with seven faculty members receiving the certification.

The certified faculty members come from the Departments of Information Engineering, Information Management, Environmental Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering, highlighting the University’s strong commitment to interdisciplinary AI education and faculty professional development.

Since the 2022 academic year, Chung Yuan Christian University has continuously invested in integrating AI and emerging technologies into teaching and curriculum design. From 2022 to 2025, the University allocated NT$24 million to support AI-related educational initiatives, including AR, VR, and MR applications for metaverse-integrated learning, helping students develop AI literacy, technological application skills, and interdisciplinary competencies.

In the 2025 academic year, CYCU further promoted the integration of AI and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into course design. In March 2026, the University also hosted a series of “AI and Sustainability Integrated Teaching Achievement Exhibitions,” showcasing innovative achievements in AI and sustainability education.

In practical course implementation, professors Huang Chung-Wei and Kao Yu-Chuan from the Department of Civil Engineering at Chung Yuan Christian University introduced a course on the “Application of Artificial Intelligence in Civil Materials and Structural Analysis.” The course integrates machine learning into material behavior prediction, image-based diagnostics, and damage detection, while also incorporating concepts of circular economy and sustainable architectural design to strengthen students’ resource reuse awareness and engineering decision-making skills.

In interdisciplinary collaboration, Professor Huang Ching-Hui from the Department of Interior Design partnered with professors Chen Shih-Lun from the Department of Electronic Engineering and Chang Wen-Hui from the Department of Applied Foreign Languages at Chung Yuan Christian University to promote an “Interdisciplinary Sustainability Technology Project.” The project integrates design, technology, and humanities to develop teaching content on sustainable green building materials, cultural heritage preservation, and water resource management. By combining AI-generated and multimodal translation technologies, the project also encourages the creation of environmentally themed spatial design and literary works, demonstrating innovative interdisciplinary teaching practices.

In practical application, Professor Huang Wen-Tsung from the Department of Commercial Design at Chung Yuan Christian University collaborated with the Wanhua District Development Association in Taipei to support local business brand transformation through the integration of AI and design marketing. The course incorporates user research, data analysis, and AI-assisted design to strengthen brand identity and content marketing strategies, while helping students develop practical experience in social media management, multilingual content creation, and digital design, enhancing their ability to connect industry development with local revitalization initiatives.

In addition, professors Chu Shou-Li and Su Chih-Wen from the Department of Information Engineering at Chung Yuan Christian University introduced a “Green Artificial Intelligence” course module that incorporates Green Edge AI model optimization technologies. The course guides students to balance computational performance and energy efficiency in AI model development, promoting sustainable development concepts while cultivating AI talent with both technological innovation and environmental awareness.

Vice President for Academic Affairs Lee Cheng-Wen stated that AI has become a key driver of innovation in higher education talent cultivation. Chung Yuan Christian University will continue to build a comprehensive AI teaching and learning environment through curriculum innovation, industry-academia collaboration, and interdisciplinary integration, fostering students who possess technological expertise, humanistic values, sustainability awareness, and strong problem-solving abilities.
