CYCU Partners with Taoyuan Youth Affairs Bureau to Launch AI Workshop Led by NVIDIA-Certified Faculty.

As artificial intelligence continues to accelerate industrial transformation, the Department of Information Management at Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) has demonstrated strong expertise in AI education. Three faculty members recently earned NVIDIA DLI Ambassador certification, making the department the one with the highest number of certified instructors in Taiwan.

In collaboration with the Taoyuan Youth Affairs Bureau, CYCU has also launched an AI talent development program through hands-on workshops, helping students and cross-disciplinary professionals build core AI skills and prepare for future industry demands.

The workshop series is being held at Room 201 of the Information Management Building at Chung Yuan Christian University. Following the successful first session on May 23, additional sessions will take place on May 30, June 13, July 11, and July 12. Designed in response to current industry trends, the program combines foundational knowledge with hands-on practice to equip participants with practical AI skills.

The curriculum features the industry-standard PyTorch framework and Jupyter Notebook interactive environment, covering tensor operations, neural network construction, model training, data augmentation, pre-trained models, and computer vision applications. Participants also receive guidance for NVIDIA deep learning certification exams to strengthen their professional competitiveness.

The first session attracted participants from diverse backgrounds, including university faculty and students, junior high school teachers, and professionals from the healthcare, government, semiconductor, manufacturing, telecommunications, finance, and information service sectors, highlighting the growing cross-disciplinary demand for AI talent.

Participants responded enthusiastically to the workshop, praising the course for being both practical and well-structured. Many noted that the hands-on training helped them quickly build a solid understanding of AI fundamentals and deepen their learning through real-world practice. One participant shared that the instructors explained complex concepts in a clear and accessible way, making the course approachable even for beginners.

A participant from the technology sector also commented that the workshop provided a clearer understanding of the core logic behind deep learning and offered valuable insights for future applications in embedded systems and AI integration. Overall, attendees agreed that the program not only strengthened their AI capabilities but also enhanced their future career competitiveness.

CYCU stated that as AI continues to reshape industries worldwide, interdisciplinary learning and digital competencies have become essential skills for future talent. The workshop series remains open to university students and members of the public, offering structured, hands-on training to help participants develop core AI capabilities, gain practical experience, and strengthen their cross-disciplinary and career competitiveness. CYCU also welcomes individuals interested in AI learning and applications to join the program and embrace the opportunities of the intelligent era.
