The 2026 AI TAIWAN Future Commerce Expo, organized by Business Next, opened on June 24 at the Taipei Expo Park. Bringing together AI innovators and startups from across Taiwan, the event highlights the latest applications of artificial intelligence in driving industrial transformation and shaping the future of smart commerce.
This year, Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU)’s Industry Accelerator and Incubation Center led 12 incubated startup teams to the exhibition, demonstrating the University’s achievements in AI applications, entrepreneurship incubation, and industry-academia collaboration. The participating teams span a wide range of fields, including AI-powered education, smart manufacturing, smart commerce, healthcare technology, digital tourism, ESG sustainability, and human-computer interaction, showcasing CYCU’s growing role in fostering AI innovation while highlighting Taoyuan’s vibrant startup ecosystem on the national stage.
The CYCU delegation featured seven incubated startups—iTour, PackAge+, Silent Tech, MountainWin Technology, Universe Manufacturing, Judian Information, and Kula Technology—along with five startup teams—Rapid Rescue, Dynamic Technology, Lingjing Technology, Vortex Technology, and Yahui Technology—that received funding through the Ministry of Education’s U-START Program for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Together, these teams demonstrate the success of CYCU’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, transforming research ideas into market-ready solutions through incubation, mentoring, and industry collaboration.

According to Chang Yung, Executive Director of Industry-Academia Collaboration at CYCU, the participating teams showcased the diverse, cross-disciplinary applications of AI across education, commerce, healthcare, sustainability, and human-computer interaction. For example, Universe Manufacturing focuses on AI-powered educational technology, while Judian Information and Kula Technology develop intelligent business and data-driven solutions. PackAge+ promotes sustainability through circular economy practices, iTour advances smart tourism services, Silent Tech develops AI-powered virtual sign language avatars, and MountainWin Technology specializes in human-computer interaction. Meanwhile, Rapid Rescue and Yahui Technology are applying AI to smart healthcare and everyday life, addressing industry needs and societal challenges through innovative technologies.
Chang noted that many of the participating startups were founded and developed by CYCU faculty members and students. With long-term support from the University’s Industry Accelerator and Incubation Center, these teams have benefited from industry-academia collaboration, entrepreneurship mentoring, and resource matching, accelerating the commercialization of innovative technologies and expanding their market reach. Their success reflects CYCU’s strong commitment to transforming university innovations into practical solutions with real-world impact.
Guided by its vision of “the University as an Engine of Innovation,” CYCU continues to integrate its research strengths with government, industry, and startup resources to build a comprehensive innovation ecosystem spanning research and development, talent cultivation, entrepreneurship incubation, and industry collaboration. Through its participation in AI TAIWAN 2026, the University not only showcases the growing strength of Taoyuan’s AI startup ecosystem but also demonstrates its leadership in advancing the real-world application of AI technologies and helping startups connect with industry.
CYCU remains committed to advancing AI innovation and entrepreneurship by strengthening its incubation programs and working closely with industry partners to foster a thriving smart industry ecosystem. Through these efforts, the University aims to accelerate the commercialization of innovative technologies and bring more university innovations to market.
