Chung Yuan Christian University’s invention patent has won five major awards at the ‘Taiwan Innovation and Technology Expo’.

On October 14th, the prestigious ‘Taiwan Innovation and Technology Expo,’ renowned in the Asian invention community, held the award ceremony for its invention competition. Chung Yuan Christian University presented a total of 6 entries this year, ultimately securing 1 platinum, 2 gold, and 2 silver awards, showcasing remarkable achievements! With nearly 530 entries in total, this competition covered a diverse range of fields, including semiconductor, information and communication technology, biotechnology and medicine, machinery, and everyday items, demonstrating interdisciplinary research outcomes.

Chung Yuan Christian University actively promotes industry-academic collaboration, showcasing 45 tradable patented technologies at the event. The university aims to stimulate corporate development and transformation through collaborative models, while maximizing the societal benefits of academic research. This commitment reflects its dedication to leveraging the value of scholarly research for the greater good.

The 2023 Taiwan Innovation and Technology Expo (TIE), held consecutively for three days starting from October 12th at the bustling Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall, emerged as an international showcase of innovation and technology. Featuring participation from 430 domestic and international enterprises, as well as academic research institutions, the event exhibited over a thousand cutting-edge technologies. Over the course of the three-day exhibition, it attracted nearly 50,000 visitors, establishing itself as a crucial platform for cross-border technology exchange and marketing investment opportunities.

Chung Yuan Christian University, showcasing its robust research and development capabilities, received significant recognition from the judges. The awarded faculty members include Professor Lin Zheng-an from the Department of Biomedical Engineering, who received a platinum award, Professor Ding Yong from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, securing one gold and one silver award, Professor Chen Shi-lun from the Department of Electronics Engineering, earning a gold award, and Professor Lai Yu-kun from the Department of Electrical Engineering, achieving a silver award.
