CYCU Employment Month Kicks Off: TSMC Reveals Industry Talent Demands.

Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) and the global semiconductor leader Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) jointly hosted a corporate recruitment briefing on March 12, attracting nearly 800 enthusiastic students eager to explore opportunities in the semiconductor industry.

TSMC’s HR representatives and technical experts attended the event, providing in-depth insights into industry trends, introducing high-demand job openings, and offering valuable career planning advice. This initiative aimed to help students align with industry needs, enhance their practical skills, and strengthen their professional competitiveness.

The event featured a special invitation to TSMC HR Senior Manager Cheng Yi-Fan, who provided an in-depth introduction to the company’s corporate culture, talent recruitment opportunities, and future vision. Additionally, Senior Engineer Wu Cheng-Jie shared valuable industry insights and hands-on experience, helping students navigate employment challenges and career opportunities in the semiconductor field.

TSMC announced plans to recruit 8,000 new talents this year to enhance salary competitiveness, offering diverse job opportunities for recent graduates in electrical engineering, chemistry, physics, materials science, and mechanical engineering. For master’s-level engineers, the average annual salary can reach NT$2.2 million. TSMC welcomes aspiring semiconductor professionals to join the company and embark on a promising career path.

TSMC Senior Engineer Wu Cheng-Jie shared his personal journey from academia to the workplace, offering insights into TSMC’s work environment, promotion system, and learning opportunities. Drawing from his own experience, he encouraged students to build a strong professional foundation, develop problem-solving skills, and embrace new technologies to stand out in the highly competitive semiconductor industry.

During the Q&A session, students eagerly took advantage of the opportunity to ask about resume writing, interview preparation, workplace skills, and job environment. HR Senior Manager Cheng Yi-Fan further elaborated on future technological trends, providing students with a clearer understanding of the semiconductor industry’s prospects.
