CYCU Co-Hosts AI EXPO Taiwan 2026, Showcasing Strength in AI and Quantum Innovation.

AI EXPO Taiwan 2026 will take place from March 25 to 27 at the Taipei Expo Park. Recognized as one of the most influential AI ecosystem events of the year, Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) stands out as the only university co-host. Playing a key role in connecting global AI ecosystems and cross-disciplinary innovation, CYCU will also welcome Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim to its exhibition booth, highlighting the university’s strong capabilities in artificial intelligence, quantum technology, talent cultivation, and industry–academia collaboration.

Hu Hsiao-Wei, Director of the Bachelor’s Program in Intelligent Computing and Big Data at Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU), noted that as a member of Taiwan’s “National Quantum Team,” CYCU continues to advance research, talent cultivation, and public education in quantum technology. As a co-host of AI EXPO Taiwan 2026—alongside DIGITIMES and IC Broadcasting—CYCU will present the theme “AI.X: Unlimited Cross-Disciplinary Innovation,” showcasing Taiwan’s full spectrum of capabilities, from AI infrastructure and industrial applications to cutting-edge technological development.

Marking its fifth anniversary, AI EXPO Taiwan 2026 is expected to gather over 250 global tech brands, 60+ industry leaders, and 100 ecosystem partners, attracting more than 50,000 participants. Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim will visit CYCU’s booth to learn about its achievements in quantum education and talent development. At the opening “X Forum,” Professor Ching-Ray Chang, Director of CYCU’s Quantum Information Center and a UNESCO-recognized “Quantum 100” scholar, will join experts from Google Quantum AI and NVIDIA to discuss the future of AI, quantum computing, and next-generation high-performance computing.

At the exhibition, CYCU’s College of Intelligent Computing and Quantum Information will feature a dedicated booth centered on “Future Technologies and Talent Development,” highlighting quantum technology as the next wave of computing innovation beyond AI. The showcase will include research achievements as well as initiatives in talent cultivation and education.

CYCU is actively advancing the application of quantum computing in the financial sector, in collaboration with Compal Electronics and K-Way Information. Building on its strengths in quantum AI algorithms, quantum finance models, and interdisciplinary research, the university plans to establish a “Quantum Finance Lab” to further promote industry–academia collaboration and real-world implementation of emerging technologies.

Chiu Chien-Sung, Dean of CYCU’s College of Intelligent Computing and Quantum Information, noted that the university has been actively advancing integrated applications of AI, quantum computing, and big data. Since establishing Taiwan’s first College of Intelligent Computing and Quantum Information in 2022, CYCU has built a strong foundation spanning research, teaching, industry collaboration, and public outreach. Its applications cover financial computing, sustainable energy forecasting, new materials development, and interdisciplinary talent cultivation. Through this exhibition, CYCU aims to showcase its achievements in advanced technology education and cross-disciplinary innovation to the public, industry, and young learners.

CYCU President Lee Ying-Ming emphasized that in the era of AI and quantum technologies, universities are no longer solely centers of academic learning but key drivers of industrial innovation. Through close collaboration with partners such as DIGITIMES, CYCU is extending its research capabilities from the laboratory to real-world applications, cultivating industry-ready interdisciplinary talent and strengthening Taiwan’s indispensable role in the global AI ecosystem.
