In response to Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy and to strengthen international academic exchange, the College of Business at Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Faculty of Science and Technology at the College of Asian Scholars (CAS), Thailand, on March 27, 2026. The partnership will focus on student and faculty exchange, joint research, industry internships, and talent development, aiming to cultivate globally competitive professionals in digital management.
The College of Business at Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) noted that the signing marks a new milestone in bilateral collaboration. The ceremony was officiated by Dean Min-Lei Chang of CYCU and Dr. Chulaporn Sota, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology at the College of Asian Scholars (CAS), and was witnessed by faculty and students from both institutions—signaling a new chapter in Taiwan–Thailand higher education cooperation.

The College of Asian Scholars (CAS), located in Khon Kaen—Thailand’s northeastern political and economic hub—was previously recognized as an APEC Digital Opportunity Center. Meanwhile, CYCU’s College of Business is among the top 5% of business schools worldwide accredited by AACSB. Through this collaboration, both institutions aim to strengthen international connections and provide students with broader learning perspectives and development opportunities.
CYCU’s Department of Information Management has also led the “ThaiKong ManTour” international volunteer team, which has been actively serving the Khon Kaen region for nine years. The program covers areas such as generative AI, AR/VR/MR, IoT, smart manufacturing, drones, and programming, while integrating Taiwanese cultural exchange. Serving more than 10 schools annually, the initiative continues to enhance digital literacy and learning motivation among local teachers and students.

Professor Liao Hsiu-Li emphasized that digital and Chinese language skills are key to employment in Khon Kaen. CYCU’s long-term engagement has effectively linked Taiwan’s smart management expertise with local industry needs, highlighting the impact of international higher education collaboration.

CYCU continues to advance holistic education and global collaboration through partnerships like CAS, strengthening academic exchange, cultural connection, and regional engagement. The university also aims to expand its international network to address demographic challenges and global talent competition.
