As quantum technology rapidly advances toward real-world industrial applications, Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) will host the 2026 Quantum Finance and Quantum Education Carnival on June 10–11, 2026.
This landmark event will be Taiwan’s first university-led carnival centered on Quantum Finance, integrating an international forum, student project showcases, industry networking and matchmaking sessions, and a quantum experience camp for high school students into a unique interdisciplinary platform.
The event will bring together leading scholars from the University of Tokyo and Keio University, along with representatives from Taiwan’s and Japan’s quantum technology industries. Officials from the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei will also attend, highlighting CYCU’s growing international influence, research excellence, and long-term commitment to advancing quantum science and technology.

Marking the fourth anniversary of CYCU’s College of Intelligent Computing and Quantum Information and the upcoming graduation of its first undergraduate cohort, the 2026 Quantum Finance and Quantum Education Carnival represents a significant milestone for the University. The event showcases CYCU’s achievements in quantum education, research, and talent cultivation over the past four years, while fostering collaboration across academia and industry through interdisciplinary, cross-sector, and international partnerships.
According to Dean Chien-Sung Chiu, quantum technology is poised to become a key driver of future industrial competitiveness, with promising applications in high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, financial modeling, and optimization. As Taiwan’s first college dedicated to quantum information, CYCU has actively advanced quantum education and interdisciplinary applications, establishing itself as an important hub for cultivating quantum talent.
The carnival will bring together leading scholars and industry experts from Taiwan and Japan to discuss the latest developments in quantum computing, quantum finance, AI–quantum integration, talent development, and innovation ecosystems. Through these exchanges, the event aims to highlight the transformative potential of quantum technologies and strengthen international collaboration in shaping the future of finance, technology, and industry.
The two-day event will feature an International Forum bringing together leading quantum technology scholars and industry experts from Taiwan and Japan, a Q-Day Student Project Showcase presenting the capstone projects of the first graduating class from CYCU’s College of Intelligent Computing and Quantum Information, an Industry–Academia Networking Session designed to foster collaboration among academia, industry, and research institutions, and a Quantum Experience Camp that offers participants hands-on exposure to quantum science and emerging technologies.
CYCU President Ying-Ming Lee emphasized that quantum finance should not remain confined to laboratory research but should extend into industry, markets, and educational settings, enabling the next generation to understand, engage with, and apply this transformative technology. Through this interdisciplinary carnival, CYCU aims to create a platform that connects academic research, industrial applications, and educational outreach, helping to bring quantum technologies from specialized fields into broader societal use.
The 2026 Quantum Finance and Quantum Education Carnival will be held on June 10–11 at Chang Ching Memorial Hall, with the opening session commencing at 9:00 a.m. on June 10. Registration is now open, and participants from academia, industry, government, and the public are warmly invited to join this landmark event.
