CYCU Marks New Milestone in AI Education with Launch of AI Innovation Computer Classroom.

In celebration of its 71st anniversary, Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) held an inauguration ceremony for its new “AI Innovation Computer Classroom” on October 14. Made possible through generous contributions from distinguished alumni in Taiwan and abroad, as well as a partnership with MSI (Micro-Star International), the state-of-the-art facility provides a high-performance learning environment dedicated to artificial intelligence (AI). Equipped with industry-grade AI technologies and advanced computing resources, the classroom enables students to engage with cutting-edge technologies and gain hands-on experience while on campus. This initiative underscores CYCU’s continued commitment to advancing AI education, strengthening industry–academia collaboration, and cultivating the next generation of technology professionals.

Spearheaded by the Distinguished Alumni Association, the initiative received enthusiastic support from more than 50 alumni worldwide, who collectively contributed over NT$20 million in just two months to support the University’s digital education infrastructure. CYCU President Ying-Ming Lee expressed his sincere appreciation to Yen-Sheng Hsieh, Chairman of Puyu Investment Co., Ltd., for taking the lead with a generous donation of NT$8 million, which inspired further contributions from fellow alumni. President Lee also thanked the University’s technology industry partners for their technical support, which played a vital role in bringing the facility to fruition. Together, these contributions have transformed the alumni community’s dedication to their alma mater and aspirations for its future into valuable educational resources.
