CYCU Recognized by Ministry of Education for Excellence in Off-Campus Student Housing Services for the Seventh Time.

Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) has once again been recognized by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education (MOE) for excellence in off-campus student housing services, marking its seventh time receiving this honor. Committed to student safety and housing quality, CYCU continues to enhance off-campus housing support, promote residential safety education, and provide student guidance and care. This recognition highlights the University’s longstanding dedication to creating a safe, supportive, and high-quality living environment for students.

CYCU emphasized that off-campus housing safety is an essential part of campus safety. To ensure students have a safe and secure living environment, the University provides comprehensive housing support throughout the rental process, from searching for accommodation to settling in. Through housing safety education, rental information services, housing visits, and personalized student care, CYCU continues to enhance students’ awareness of residential safety and promote their overall well-being.

CYCU promotes off-campus housing safety through educational activities covering rental safety, fire prevention, electrical safety, building access control, and tenants’ rights. These initiatives encourage students to proactively assess living conditions and safety measures when choosing accommodation.

In addition, the University conducts regular off-campus housing visits to assess residential safety and better understand students’ living conditions. For students facing potential safety concerns or requiring assistance, CYCU provides timely support, counseling, and referrals to relevant resources, helping minimize housing-related risks and ensure a safer living environment.

CYCU Dean of Student Affairs Yu-Chi Chou stated that receiving the Ministry of Education’s recognition for excellence in off-campus student housing services for the seventh time reflects the University’s longstanding commitment to student safety and the dedicated efforts of its housing support team. This achievement also highlights CYCU’s continued progress in promoting safety education and comprehensive off-campus housing services.

Looking ahead, CYCU will continue to prioritize student safety and well-being by strengthening collaboration across campus safety, student affairs, academic departments, and relevant units. Through enhanced housing safety education, regular housing visits, and personalized guidance, the University aims to create a safer and more supportive off-campus living environment, allowing students to focus on their studies with greater peace of mind.
