Chung Yuan Christian University’s Department of Commercial Design won the Golden Pin Concept Design Award: Best of the Year at the 2025 Young Designers' Exhibition with their project “Green Screen: Prologue.” The work showcased their strengths in design integration and innovation, creating an immersive experience that became a highlight of Taiwan’s largest design event.

Despite the challenges of Taiwan’s declining birthrate, CYCU continues to thrive, maintaining a 100% freshman enrollment rate for five consecutive years. In 2025, CYCU was ranked the No. 1 private university in Global Views Monthly’s “Most Favored by Employers” survey, topping categories such as “Most Preferred by Non-Listed Companies” and “Most Preferred by the IT Industry.”

CYCU opened Ji-Da Hall, a new semiconductor education hub funded by alumnus Chiao Ping-Hai. The facility integrates industry needs with chemical engineering, featuring advanced equipment and VR tools to bridge theory and practice.

CYCU has partnered with the Taiwan Data Science Association, National University of Kaohsiung, and Fu Jen Catholic University to launch Taiwan’s first cross-university data science program, featuring a joint Capstone Course that integrates academic and industry resources to train AI-ready professionals with real-world problem-solving skills.

The 2024 Training Program for Thai Chinese Language Teachers, organized by OCAC and hosted by CYCU, concluded on April 26. Forty teachers from Northern Thailand and the Bangkok area completed the 14-day program, praising the diverse curriculum and enriching experience during the closing ceremony held at CYCU.

The Department of Applied Chinese at CYCU hosted two educators from Singapore on April 28–29 for a two-day exchange, featuring student capstone projects and a tour of the Metaverse Smart Classroom, showcasing AR/VR innovation in Chinese language teaching.

To broaden young students’ global perspectives and strengthen their capacity for public engagement, Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) proudly hosted the 2025 CYCUMUN-CYCU Model United Nations-on April 26–27, 2025.

To celebrate its 70th anniversary, CYCU hosted the 2025 Taoyuan Pond International Forum on April 17, alongside a concurrent USR Achievement Exhibition from April 16 to 18.

The 2025 Teacher Training Program for Thai Chinese Language Educators, hosted by Chung Yuan Christian University and organized by the OCAC, runs from April 13 to 26, bringing together 40 teachers for 66 hours of intensive training to strengthen teaching skills and Taiwan–Thailand educational ties.

CYCU has once again been honored with the 2025 Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) Global Outstanding Chapter “Silver Award”, marking its second consecutive year receiving this prestigious recognition. CYCU remains the only university in Taiwan to earn this award, a testament to its outstanding performance and unwavering commitment in the field of international business education.

CYCU’s Department of Applied Chinese actively broadens students’ global outlook through the Ministry of Education’s Study Abroad Program. Students have interned in countries such as Sweden, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Mexico, gaining hands-on teaching experience, building international networks, and strengthening cross-cultural and professional skills for their future careers.

On March 17, 2025, Assistant Professor Yen-Jui Chang of the School of Intelligent Computing and Quantum Information, along with Distinguished Professor Ching-Jui Chang, Director of the Quantum Information Center at Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU), represented the university at the globally renowned NVIDIA GTC 2025 Conference in San Jose, California.
