CYCU Department of Architecture has partnered with **HCG**, one of Taiwan's leading sanitary ware manufacturers, to integrate industry experience into its first-year design curriculum. Through factory visits, professional critiques, and a design competition, the collaboration provides students with hands-on learning opportunities while strengthening their design thinking and practical skills through real-world industry engagement.

As AI reshapes industries, CYCU Department of Electrical Engineering is preparing future-ready engineers through interdisciplinary education, hands-on learning, industry collaboration, and global engagement. By combining strong technical foundations with problem-solving, communication, and international experience, the department equips students with the skills and resilience needed to thrive in the AI era and create lasting value for society.

CYCU Faculty and Staff Choir traveled to Hualien from June 27 to 29 for a community outreach program, visiting healthcare facilities, churches, and rehabilitation centers. Through hymns, personal testimonies, and fellowship, the choir shared the love and hope of the Christian faith while demonstrating CYCU's commitment to whole-person education.

CYCU concluded its 2026 Administrative Innovation AI Competition, where 16 teams and 64 administrative staff showcased AI-driven solutions to improve campus services and administrative efficiency. The Grand Prize went to the "Ask Less" team for developing a one-stop AI platform for CYCU's MetaDisplay immersive smart learning environment, highlighting the University's commitment to digital transformation and smart campus development.

Thirteen projects by students from Chung Yuan Christian University's (CYCU) Department of Interior Design were selected for the Southeast Asia Interior Student Project Display, held in Hanoi, Vietnam, from May 9 to June 7, 2026. Representing Taiwan, the selected works highlighted students' creativity, design excellence, and human-centered thinking while showcasing the achievements of Taiwan's design education on the international stage.

CYCU hosted the 2026 Global High School Research Project Competition, bringing together high school students from Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore to showcase inquiry-based research on science, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and social issues. Jointly organized with MyGIAC, UAiTED, and National Taiwan Normal University, the competition promotes interdisciplinary research, cross-cultural collaboration, and the development of globally minded young researchers. This year's event also welcomed participating schools from Singapore for the first time, further expanding its international reach.

More than 50 distinguished alumni from Taiwan and overseas have donated over NT$20 million to support the establishment of an AI Innovation Computer Lab at Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU). Developed in partnership with MSI, the new facility will feature industry-grade AI computing equipment and advanced learning resources, providing students with hands-on experience while strengthening CYCU's commitment to AI education and future-ready talent development.

The 2026 AI TAIWAN Future Commerce Expo, organized by Business Next, opened on June 24 at the Taipei Expo Park. Bringing together AI innovators and startups from across Taiwan, the event highlights the latest applications of artificial intelligence in driving industrial transformation and shaping the future of smart commerce.

Following its 2026 Service-Learning Team Flag Presentation Ceremony, CYCU has sent 27 student volunteers to serve in Taiwan, Thailand, and Cambodia. Through education, cultural exchange, and community engagement, they will put the University's holistic education philosophy into practice while serving local communities.

Through a USR HUB project led by Professor Wei-Kuang Liu, students from CYCU's Department of Landscape Architecture conducted field research and community engagement in Hsinchu's self-built military dependents' villages. Integrating real-world issues into design education, the project explores strategies for cultural heritage preservation and sustainable urban development.

To promote holistic education and interdisciplinary learning, CYCU invited renowned film and television professionals, including Yu-Shan Huang, Chieh-Mei Yang, Rou-Min Huang, and Chih-Chi Lee, to participate in its General Education Celebrity Speaker Series. Through personal insights and cross-media discussions, students gained a deeper understanding of Taiwan’s film and entertainment industry while broadening their artistic perspectives and humanistic awareness.

A research team led by Professor Ying-Yi Hong of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Chung Yuan Christian University has partnered with Delta Electronics to advance power infrastructure technologies for AI data centers. The two parties completed a preliminary study on an 800V High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) power supply system and have subsequently secured support from the National Science and Technology Council and Delta Electronics to launch a two-year industry–academia collaboration focused on developing next-generation power solutions for AI computing.
