CYCU and the Taiwan Cultural Heritage Society co-hosted an international seminar on cultural heritage and urban governance, bringing together experts from Taiwan and abroad to discuss heritage conservation, cultural governance, and sustainable urban development. The event featured Professor Michael Kloos, holder of the UNESCO Chair on Historic Urban Landscape and Heritage Assessment, who shared international perspectives on balancing urban growth with the preservation of cultural heritage and local identity.

CYCU students achieved outstanding results at the 100K Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, earning second place, third place, and honorable mentions among nearly 80 teams from 19 universities across Taiwan. The competition highlighted innovative solutions in smart technology, industrial innovation, and social impact, showcasing students’ creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to address real-world challenges.

CYCU has partnered with Teradyne, a global leader in automated test equipment, to strengthen semiconductor talent development through industry-focused courses, hands-on training, and internship opportunities. During a keynote lecture at CYCU, Teradyne executive Richard Hsieh shared insights into semiconductor testing technologies and industry trends in the AI and high-performance computing era, helping students gain a deeper understanding of future career opportunities in the field.

During NVIDIA GTC Taipei 2026, CYCU once again hosted a livestream of NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang’s keynote address, attracting enthusiastic participation from students and technology enthusiasts across campus. As artificial intelligence continues to evolve from generative AI toward a new era of real-time reasoning, registration for the event quickly reached capacity, reflecting strong interest among young people in emerging AI trends and future career opportunities.

Through its ongoing partnership with China Motor Corporation, CYCU’s Product Design Division has incorporated AI-assisted design, ESG sustainability concepts, and industry expertise into students’ graduation projects. By addressing real-world challenges through innovative design solutions, students have demonstrated strong creative, technical, and problem-solving capabilities while gaining valuable industry experience.

CYCU will host the 2026 Quantum Finance and Quantum Education Carnival on June 10–11, marking Taiwan’s first university-led event centered on Quantum Finance. The interdisciplinary carnival will bring together leading scholars from the University of Tokyo and Keio University, along with quantum technology industry representatives from Taiwan and Japan. Officials from the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei will also participate, highlighting CYCU’s growing international influence and leadership in quantum research, education, and industry collaboration.

CYCU is advancing AI education through NVIDIA-certified faculty and hands-on training programs. In collaboration with the Taoyuan Youth Affairs Bureau, CYCU launched an AI workshop series to help students and professionals develop practical AI skills and prepare for future industry needs.

Chung Yuan Christian University’s Department of Electrical Engineering held its “2026 North America Alumni Reunion” on April 4 in Silicon Valley, bringing together alumni from across North America to reconnect and exchange experiences.

To broaden students’ global perspectives and leadership capabilities, the College of Business at Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU), together with the Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) Chung Yuan Chapter, hosted the “10th BGS Chung Yuan Chapter Distinguished Business Leader Lecture” on May 20 at the Jin Rong Business Auditorium. Distinguished CYCU alumnus, IQS Wood Sdn Bhd Chairman, and BGS honorary member Mr. Peng Choong Leng returned to campus to deliver a keynote speech titled “Excellence and Responsibility: From Campus to the Global Stage.” The event attracted more than 250 faculty members and students.

CYCU and the Taoyuan City Government jointly hosted the “Generative AI and Industrial Transformation Summit Forum,” bringing together representatives from government, industry, and academia to discuss urban governance, education innovation, and industrial transformation in the AI era.

The Department of Applied Chinese Language and Literature at Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) held the 14th International Conference on “New Perspectives in Chinese Language and Overseas Chinese Education” from May 22 to 23, 2026.

CYCU hosted the 4th National Business Big Data Innovation Competition, bringing together 27 teams from 13 universities across Taiwan to showcase innovative applications of big data analytics and artificial intelligence. This year’s competition introduced SCRUM agile development and software engineering methodologies into the evaluation process, encouraging students to tackle real-world challenges through data-driven solutions. CYCU teams achieved outstanding results, earning second and third place with projects on AI-powered fraud risk prediction and Generation Z travel trends, demonstrating the University’s success in cultivating interdisciplinary talent equipped with data analytics and AI capabilities.
